You can send money abroad through Online Banking using PINsentry, over the phone or in branch requesting an international draft. It all depends on where you want to send the money, and how quickly you want it to get there.
You can also send money to friends and family in selected countries using Barclays Pingit on your mobile.
Find out more about international payments
In order to send money abroad you’ll need certain account details to make the payment:
- The full name of the account holder and their bank’s address
- The bank account number or International Bank Account Number (IBAN)
- The SWIFT Bank Identifier Code (SWIFTBIC) – this helps us identify which bank to send the payment to
If you don't have this information you can still send money abroad by ordering an international draft in branch.
