A banker’s draft is like asking a bank to write a cheque for you. Some organisations may request it as a more secure way of receiving money than a personal cheque from an individual account. There is a £15 fee for each banker’s draft, which you can get in any branch.
What is a banker's draft and how do I get one?
Rather than waiting in branch while a banker’s draft is drawn up, you can call Telephone Banking (if you’re registered) and arrange for the details to be faxed through to the branch of your choice for collection.

Please note that 24 hours’ notice is required to provide you with a banker’s draft in this way.
You’ll need to tell us the amount and who the banker’s draft will be paid to, because only the named payee can use the draft. When you collect the draft you’ll need to provide two forms of identification. A member of staff will then sign the draft, and the funds will be immediately debited from your account.
