How do I set up Direct Debits?

A Direct Debit is an instruction from you to your bank that authorises a company to take an agreed amount of money from your account.

You won’t be able to create a new Direct Debit yourself. You’ll need to contact the company you want to pay and they’ll arrange for you to complete a Direct Debit instruction. They’ll want to know a little about you, such as your name, address and bank details.

The company will then let us know and begin to collect your payments on the dates you’ve agreed. Once your Direct Debit is set up, you’ll be able to view the amount that will be paid to the company on the date it’s due to leave your account in Online Banking.
